Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is a famous place of worship for sikh and a popular tourist attraction in Delhi. This 17th century shrine is dedicated to the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan. India Gate Delhi, also known as the All India War memorial is a 42 metre high giant gate located on Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The India Gate was designed by architect Edwin Lutyens in 1921 and looks similar to iconic monuments such as the Arc de Triomphe in France, the Gateway of India in Mumbai and the Arch of Constantine in Rome. It serves as the tribute to the 84,000 Indian Army Soldiers who made ultimate sacrifice during World War I (1914-21) in regions including France, Flanders, Mesopotamia, Persia, East Africa, Gallipoli and various parts of the Near and Far East, including the Third Anglo-Afghan war. The monument has inscribed the names of 13,300 servicemen on its surface.
Purana Qila Delhi, also known as old fort, is believed to be the oldest fort of Delhi. Jantar Mantar Delhi is a remarkable astronomical observatory with immense historical and scientific significance. Red fort, popularly known as Lal Qila is a historical landmark located in Chandni Chowk, Delhi. Red Fort was originally known as ‘Qila-I-Mubarak’ which means a residence for a royal family. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the mid 17th century. The red fort is spread over an area of 255 acres and comprises many buildings which are adorned with intricate carvings, floral motifs, double domes and a defence wall of 2.5 Km.
