Chhatarpur Mandir Delhi, popularly known as Shri Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Mandir is a famous Hindu temple located in South Delhi. The temple is spread in over 60 acres of area and is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani. The temple was established by Baba Sant Nagpal Ji in 1974. The Chhatarpur Mandir is now India’s second largest temple in Delhi after the construction of Akshardham Temple in 2005.

Chhatarpur Mandir has around 20 small and large temples including Maa Katyayani Mandir, Shri Laxmi Vinayak Mandir, Baba Jharpeer Mandir, Markandeya Mandapam and 101 feet Hanuman Murti. The temple performs various ceremonies including Hawan, Rudrabhishek, Durga Saptashati Path, Rath Puja, Ramayan Path, Lungar Puja during Navratri. 

The Chhatarpur Mandir is now a popular tourist destination and an important pilgrimage site attracting many devotees throughout the year. The temple’s impressive architecture is made entirely of marble, carved walls, pillars and features intricate jaali carvings. The temple’s overall design is heavily influenced by the Chola and Chalukya architectural styles and is a blend of South and North Indian architectural styles. The Chhatarpur mandir stands as a magnificent and spiritually significant place of worship among many architectural wonders.

The story of Chhatarpur Mandir starts with Baba Sant Nagpal ji, a humble and deeply spiritual individual who went on a journey of spiritual awareness. In 1974, Baba Sant Nagpal acquired a piece of land in Chhatarpur and constructed a Grand Temple dedicated to Maa Durga. Over the years, the temple complex grew to cover 70 acres of area and include more than 20 temples dedicated to different deities.
