About Waste To Wonder Park Delhi
Waste to Wonder Park Delhi also Known as Seven Wonder Park is a Theme Park which has Replicas of Seven Wonders of World i.e. The Taj Mahal, The Leaning Tower Of Pisa, The Pyramids of Giza, The Colosseum Of Rome, The statue of Christ The Redeemer, The Statue Of Liberty and The Eiffel Tower. All the monuments inside the park is made with Recycled Industrial waste materials such as scrap of automobile parts and other metal waste like fans, rods, iron sheets, etc.
The Park is spread in over 7 acres of area and is located in Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Van Near Sarai Kale Khan. It was Built by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) in 6 months at the Cost of Rs 7.5 crore. It was Inaugurated by Then Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The Idea of the Park was Inspired by Kota’s Seven Wonder park which gained Popularity after Being featured in Film “Badrinath Ki Dulhania”.
It took 150 tons of Scrap, 5 artists, 7 supporting artist and 70 welders and helpers in the development of the park. SDMC has installed 3 windmills (Worth 1 kW), 3 Solar Trees (Worth 5 kW) and rooftop panel of 10 kW to made the park self sufficient to run on its renewable resources.
7 Wonders Of World At Waste To Wonder Park Delhi
- Taj Mahal: India’s Most beautiful monument has been replicated in the park with the height of 20 feet. It was created with 30 tonnes of waste material and 24 workers worked on it and created it in 5 and half months. The replica also has a Fountain in front of the Monument inside rectangular pond.
- Great Pyramid of Giza: Waste to wonder Park has an 18 feet tall pyramid with 110 layers. which was created by Vadodara Based architect Pijush Patra. It was made with 10800 feet scrap weighing about 12 tonnes.
- The Colosseum of Rome: The 16 feet 6 inch colosseum in Waste to wonder park Delhi is a tribute to a Ruined Roman wonder in Italy. It is built using 11 tonnes of scrap materials including electric poles, 410 car wheels, automobile spare parts and metal railings.
- Christ The Redeemer of Rio: The Theme park has 25 feet tall replica of Rio De Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer. It Was built in 5 months by the artist named Shubham from the city of Vadodara. It was made with waste materials like motorbike chains, engine parts, old benches and electric poles.
- The Statue of Liberty: The 35 feet tall replica of Statue of Liberty is made by Delhi’s Resident Zakir. The statue was built using 8 tonnes of waste including metal sheets, bench, angels, metal railings, scrap pipes, car rims, Cycle chain and old bike.
- The Eiffel Tower: The 60 feet tall replica of Eiffel tower is the tallest wonder in the Waste to wonder park Delhi. This Gorgeous structure was made by Artist Sandip Pisalkar who used around 40 tonnes of automobile scrap which includes angels, truck’s diesel tanks, C-channels and clutch Plates. The three levels of the structure was made separately and later added to the top with the help of Industrial Crane.
- The Leaning Tower of Pisa: This 25 feet tall replica of the Leaning tower of Pisa is 80 Degree tilt which makes it great spot for Photos in Waste to wonder park Delhi. The structure was made by Using Metal sheets, Old Pipes, benches, grass cutters, springs, Cycle rims and typewriter.
