About Sunder Nursery Delhi

Earlier known as Azim Bagh or Bagh-e-Azeem, Sunder Nursery is a 16th century park located in New Delhi just adjacent to the Humayun’s Tomb, UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is spread in over 90 acres of area and is a stunning combination of nature, history and culture. This hidden gem offers a delightful escape from the chaos of city life.

The park is adorned with lush gardens, meandering pathways and vibrant flora which makes it an attractive place for leisurely walks and picnics. Sunder Nursery is also a home to a remarkable collection of trees, plants and flowers including rare and endangered species.

Additionally, the park also houses several architectural marvels from the Mughal area, including the Sunderwala Burj and the Lakkarwala Burj which showcases wonderful craftsmanship and also provides a glimpse into the region’s rich heritage.
