About Nehru Planetarium Delhi
The Nehru Planetarium Delhi is one of the five Planetariums that is named after India’s first Prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who was the great believer of Science and Technology. The Nehru Planetarium in New Delhi is located in the Teen Murti Bhawan and it is also known as the Nehru memorial museum and library. This building was previously served as the official residence of the Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru but is now transformed into a museum in his honor. The other four planetariums are located in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore and Allahabad.

The Nehru Planetarium in New Delhi was built by the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund to promote the study of Astronomy in India. It was Inaugurated on 6th February 1984 by former Prime Minister Smt.
