About Bharat Darshan Park Delhi
Bharat Darshan Park Delhi is a unique attraction that showcases replicas of popular Indian monuments made with waste material. Situated in Punjabi Bagh area of Delhi, the park is spread across an area of 8.5 acres. The park was inaugurated on 25 December 2021 by Home Minister Amit Shah. The park was developed by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) with the aim to promote the concept of “waste to wonder,” showcasing how discarded materials can be used creatively and sustainably.
Bharat Darshan Park has innovatively used waste materials to create replicas of 22 iconic monuments from across India which includes Qutub Minar, Gateway of India, Charminar, Konark Sun Temple, Banyan Tree, Mysore Palace, Hampi, Victoria Memorial Hall. These replicas are made from about 350 tonnes of scrap material like discarded electrical equipment, cycle parts, Nuts & Bolts, Angles & Iron Rods and other waste, showing the importance of recycling and environmental conservation.
