Jantar Mantar Jaipur is an astronomical observatory situated near City Palace and Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. It was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who was a keen astronomer and wanted to create an accurate astronomical observatory. Jantar Mantar means “instruments used to calculate”.
Jaipur Zoo spread over an area of 35 acres, is India’s most popular zoo. It is located in Ram Niwas Garden near Albert Hall Museum of Jaipur. It was founded in 1877 and is one of India’s oldest zoo’s. It was built with an intention to preserve and conserve wildlife including mammals, birds and reptiles. It is home to the richest fauna of Rajasthan and has around 550 animals and birds of more than 50 different species.
Jal Mahal Jaipur or “Water Palace” is situated in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. The Palace is surrounded by the Aravali hills. Jal Mahal looks like a single storey building as four storeys of the palace have been submerged under the water. Therefore, it looks like the Palace is floating above the water. Hawa Mahal Jaipur, also known as Palace of winds is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Jaipur. This five-storey Palace was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 as he was inspired by the unique structure of Khetri Mahal. The Hawa Mahal was designed by Lal Chand Ustad and it is built with the use of red and pink sandstone on the edge of the City Palace and extends till Zenana or women’s chambers.

Albert Hall Museum, also known as Government Central Museum is situated in the Ram Niwas Garden in Jaipur. It is the oldest monument in Rajasthan, designed by Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. Originally, the museum was intended to be a concert hall, and later opened as a museum for the public in 1887. The museum got its name because of its resemblance with the Victoria and Albert Museum of London.
